Iceland's capital, REYKJAVIK is surrounded barren
lava fields, sitting under the shadowy mass of Mount
Esja in the background. Even in the heart of this
capital, nature is in evidence. Lake Tjornin, located
in the centre of Reykjavik, is a birdwatchers paradise
and is perfect location for a nature stroll. In spring,
you can spot the Artic Terns returning for the summer.
The Reykjavík Municipal Art Museum houses
an immense collection of modern and established Icelandic
and foreign art. The Museum also home to the Ásmundur
Sveinsson Sculpture Museum, the Kjarval Collection, the
Erró Collection, the Architectural Museum and the
Reykjavík Municipal Art Collection.
